dreams become reality.
While many of us binged-watched “Tiger King” or tried to become Tik-Tok famous, Zyaire (age 12) and Char’Les (age 10) Hawkins started a business out of their kitchen during the Covid-19 pandemic. Appropriately naming them “Little Sistas Treats,” the girls began selling their now signature cheesecake cones, which are based on a family recipe. This nifty treat is cheesecake that’s layered and topped with goodies and offered in a variety of flavors. Despite having little experience and money (they are kids, after all), Zyaire and Char’Les were determined to start something big. To do that, the first thing on their to-do list was a logo to launch their brand.
After a few Zoom calls and a deep dive into the dessert category, CSB worked with the girls to develop a brand identity that brought the vision and inspiration of Zyaire and Char’Les to life. The brand identity captures the fun and exciting experience of their product offering, as well as accurately depicting the girls in a way that can grow with them for years to come. The architecture of our design was developed with the vast variety of their creations in mind. It can easily translate to other treats, products, and seasonal offerings, which will call for seasonalized logos!
Our youngest clients to date are “killing it” with their small business, hopefully soon to be an empire. They have since been presented with many opportunities, such as working with the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies, as well as interviews with Denver businesses and media outlets – all while juggling school, homework and chores. They are kids, after all.
We are extra proud that our work on Little Sistas Treats received a 2022 GDUSA Package Design Award in the Food + Beverage category. This annual program celebrates attractive graphics, of course, but more importantly the power of effective design to advance the brand promise and to forge an emotional link with the buyer at the moment of truth.
'This has been worked from the ground level, and to make the connection and build relationships with not just a wonderful company but kind human beings who get life, understand how to seize opportunities and are at the top of their game, is extremely commendable and honorable, to say the least. This has been a life-changing experience.'
